Re: What key signatures are these wongs in?
Hi; the song Whos the man has a progression like the following (the Key seems to be Cm#):
C#m7add9 to Fmadd9 to Em7add9 to D#m7add9 to G#7b13
i am no expert in that kind of progressions, jazz-like or something but it seems like it could be analized following some inner line within the progression; for instance, the line; B C D (F#-D#), B to C (upward semitone/halftone) C to D (upward tone), D to F# (3rd skip) and F# to D# (tritone skip).
taking the upbeats of the chosen line, gives B D, that is an upward minor 3rd.
the song Love is is in the Key of C#: its easy to see that the bass goes like: C# E B A...etc.
the song Love trais seems to be in the Key of AMaj7 and the basic progression to be AMaj7 D#m7...
the Jazeebo song has the progressions: Am-Dm (x3) plus bB-D; and then: Bm-Am (x3) plus bB-D.
greetings
