Is it possible to add music notation?

What parts of notation are you looking for? A flashcard-style drill that tests recognition of symbols (from "eighth note" to "formata", "crescendo", etc.) would be fairly simple... for now I've been focussing more on exercises that are more interactive, that aren't easily testable in a workbook.

At some point, though (just for completeness) the site should probably have more coverage of the basics.

Any thoughts on the best way to do this?

Perhaps error detection would be good, for example, in a musical excerpt 4 or 8 or 16 measures long (it would be nice if the teacher could pick the length and complexity and how many different possible errors the students should be looking for) click on the measure that is missing a beat, or beamed incorrectly, or has a wrong stem direction, or an incorrect accidental, or a wrong key signature. This would be very helpful. Then after the student clicks on the measure with the mistake, then the example magically corrects itself and the students hear thunderous applause!
