Hi Everyone,
Ive just written a song that modulates from the key of Gm to Fm the problem now is I want to go back to the main theme of the song which is in the key Gm.
Does anyone now how to modulate up a tone from Fm to Gm?

Fm - C7 - F - Dm - D - D7 - Gm

You can omit the C7 to be less elaborate and rely on mode mixture (Fm - F)

You can omit Dm, too, and rely on a chromatic mediant movement (F - D or even F - D7)

Whatever suits the song best.

I haven't tried this, but what about Fm-Bb7-Eb7-Gm64-D7-Gm. The trick is that the Eb7 is approached from Bb7 normally and simultaneously acts as a German Sixth to lead to D7 (through the 64 chord to avoid parallels). Whether it sounds good depends on the rest of the piece and particular melodies. Or one can start with an Fm-F7-Bb7-Eb7 sequence.
