Time signature issue 2
January 02, 2019 05:45AM
Hello there everyone,

I was trying to write something that is in essense 4/4 but the way it's accented (in my mind it's like 1,2,3, 1,2,3, 1,2) leads me to naturally split the bars into 3/4 and 5/4, is this right or should it be written in the simplest form, hence common time?

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks you so much and Happy new year!

That’s just 4/4 with the 2nd bar of each pair “pushed” or “forced”. So the first example is correct.

Great production btw.

Thank you so much for replying, it really means a lot!!
I should probably add extra symbols to indicate the accent?

If you really need to accentuate it more - I mean, what you’ve written and how it sounds seem pretty aligned to me :)
