I am working on a remix and the vocal is in B major. I dropped it two semitones which would put the vocals in A major?? Can altering the semitones ever switch the vocals from a major key to a minor key?? The reason I’m asking is because it seems the scale of G# minor is sounding best with the vocals two semitones lower. I am using my ears but I would like to attain a better understanding of why a minor scale is sounding better with a vocal that is now in A major. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
