What is the "Third to third" Cadence?

1.) Common tone
2.) Similar motion in the upper 3 voices
3.) the "Tripled root doubling" in I

Have to Triple the root in the Final tonic

and Add a Passing 7th in the V.

A "third to third movement" in the soprano, alto , or tenor

This forum is not a homework service, but I'm sure people will be glad to help if you have questions about aspects of music theory that confuse you.

Good God. So we at Young Composers aren't the only ones who have the Walters plague.

I'm sure "plague" is going a bit far. He's just trying to get a hand processing a lot of information, but his way of going about it sometimes makes it tough to answer his posts. He'll sort it out as he goes along. I think he's posting on a lot of other music theory forums -- I ran across similar posts on ibreathemusic.com under the username brent: [www.ibreathemusic.com]

Walters, if you want advice on organizing your posts so you can get more helpful answers feel free to write me directly using the contact form on eMusicTheory.com.
